With over 153,000 members, Surf Life Saving Australia is one of the largest volunteer organisations in Australia. While playing a vital role in beach safety, regularly providing safe patrolled areas for swimming, Surf Life Saving Clubs also offer the chance to meet like minded people who are passionate about our beaches.
Shoalhaven Heads Surf Lifesaving Club provides the beach going public with safe patrolled swimming areas on beautiful Seven Mile Beach.
While the focus of the club remains on patrolling the beach, other activities include competition, lifesaving training, junior activities (Nippers) and social events. The club is very family orientated and offers something for all ages.
Shoalhaven Heads Surf Lifesaving Club is always on the look-out for new members, seeking people of all ages and abilities. As a trained lifesaver, you’ll undertake a number of roles such as aquatic rescue, providing first aid and emergency care, and offering surf safety information to the public.
Becoming a surf lifesaver is satisfying, fun and rewarding. You can lead a fit and healthy lifestyle, become trained in aquatic safety skills, make new mates, compete in surf sports, and give something back to your local community. You may also help save someone’s life one day.
There are plenty of volunteer roles that need fulfilling and your assistance in these areas would be greatly appreciated. For more information contact 0418416633 or click here.
