If you’re interested in reducing your impact on the environment and saving money at the same time, then the Shoalhaven City Council’s home sustainability workshops are for you. Offered free for the residents of the Shoalhaven, these workshops aim to provide you with beneficial information on how you can live more sustainability in and around your home, while being presented in a humorous yet educational manner.
Covering key household sustainability topics such as composting, worm farming, natural cleaning and organic veggie gardening, the workshops run for approximately an hour and a half, and are available at various stages throughout the year at numerous locations, such as Nowra, Huskisson and Ulladulla. However, due to their popularity, bookings are essential to reserve a spot.
You can expect to receive relevant information covering different aspects such as why these practices are so beneficial for both your health and environment, current practices within the industry, how to implement these changes into your own home and how to manage these on an on-going basis. Plus, as a bonus, those attending the compost workshops will receive a free compost bin to help get you started.
For more information on each workshop and how you can reserve your spot, visit the Shoalhaven City Council website.
