How to connect your utilities

Professionals Nowra Uncategorised 11th August, 2014 No Comments

When you move into a new rental property, it’s your responsibility as a tenant to connect all necessary utilities. This might include things such as electricity, gas and telecommunications such as phone and internet.

Sometimes, it can take more than a day or two for the connections to occur, so we recommend you contact your utility provider as soon as you know your move-in date. That way, you can schedule with them exactly when you need it connected. The last thing you’ll want is to move into your new house and have no power!

You will need to contact the utility providers directly, who will advise of any plans or charges involved. This also applies when you need to disconnect the services.

Alternatively, we can organise this on your behalf via Direct Connect. Information on this service is included on our application form, and also as a separate flyer as part of your rental welcome pack. If you’re in the process of filling out a rental application form, and are happy to use this service, simply sign the section on the front page that refers to “Utility Connections”.

If you’d like more information on this service, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
