With the Berejiklian Government handing down their first NSW state budget, it was with much excitement that the final stretch of the Gerringong to Bomaderry highway upgrade received full funding. The final stretch from just south of Berry all the way to the Cambewarra Rd roundabout in Bomaderry will be fully funded in the upcoming budget. This is welcome news on a number of fronts for property owners in the Shoalhaven. With reduced transit times to major cities in the north, it is forecast that we will continue to see a growing number of buyers who are priced out of the Sydney and Wollongong looking towards the Northern Shoalhaven. The improved road also encourages the ability for major industry to relocate to the Shoalhaven and increase employment prospects for those within the city. Improved transport links, mean increased productivity and with much lower land costs and rates in our industrial areas compared to those in Wollongong or Sydney, the Shoalhaven becomes more attractive.
All of this is good news for property owners in the Shoalhaven, as the factors listed above will continue to provide consistent demand for property and will encourage prices to remain strong.
