Professionals Nowra A geographically distinct locality of Nowra, South Nowra is positioned over the elevated area known locally as ‘Browns Hill’. Alongside the Princes Highway, the suburb was initially rural lots and industrial developments.
South Nowra has become the site of many of Shoalhaven’s bulky goods retail businesses, including Bunnings, Isons Hardware, McDonalds and many car, caravan and boat sales yards.

South Nowra also has a crowning component of modern residential housing located to the east and off Old Southern Road, with just over 1000 residents. With many smaller land developments and a range of house and land types, this area of South Nowra is preferred by home buyers because of its smaller more neighbourly atmosphere. Close-by is the Nowra Christian School and the Anglican Retirement Village.
